Happy Tuesday, everyone! Today I’m pleased to share with you three lovely photos taken by yours truly from my little stint selling books at the Gathering on the Green festival here in sunny London, Ontario. Without further ado …
My first henna tattoo! Ain’t it sparkly?

A close-up of the table — Imminent Danger overload!
Hopefully that brought you some small measure of entertainment to brighten your day. And if not, here’s an …
This Saturday I’ll be at the Gathering on the Green 2014 arts festival with my little tent and table, ready to sell some copies of Imminent Danger And How to Fly Straight into It!
In terms of marketing, my new strategy this year is to give away printed copies of my short story, The Coin Collector. I figure I can give these out to people who express interest in the book but aren’t sure they want to commit to buying, or even as a grand prize to people who spin the golden stars on my Wheel of Imminent Danger. I’ll also ask them to pass the story on to friends or family once they’re finished reading, in the hopes that some of these booklets might end up circling around the city and reaching multiple people. I doubt it will actually happen, but I remain hopeful!
Here are some pictures of the booklets:
Pretty booklets all in a row
Inscription on the back
I’ll let you guys know how this whole booklet thing goes, and if they actually entice anyone to buy the book. If you feel like reading The Coin Collector yourself, just click the cover on the right-hand column of this blog and it’ll take you to Smashwords, where you can download a free copy.
Guys, I hate to say this, but … I don’t think you’re ready for this jelly. And by jelly, I am, of course, talking about my new vlog! It will feature:
My brother and I attempting to paint the Wheel of Imminent Danger
Footage from the Gathering on the Green arts festival
Footage from the For the Love of Arts street festival
To give some background, a family friend was awesome and built me a prize wheel (think Wheel of Fortune, but smaller and vertical). So Jesse (my brother) and I painted it with pretty colors, stuffed it in the car, and hauled it to assorted festivals over the last few weeks. The first festival went very well, the second very poorly — but fun was had, wheels were spun, books were sold, and candy was consumed. Watch the vlog to find out more!

There’s still time to apply for the Mars One reality show! Never mind the fact that, with our current technology, you’ll probably receive a lethal dose of radiation whilst en route to Mars and subsequently die a horrible death!
Hey guys — just checking in this morning before I head off to set up my festival tent at “The Gathering on the Green” (local arts festival), where I will be attempting to sell my book, Imminent Danger And How to Fly Straight into It.
Goodreads Giveaway Open!
As I mentioned yesterday, my giveaway for Imminent Danger is now open and waiting for all you lovely folks in Canada, the USA, the UK, and Australia to enter. Here’s the link
