Still reeling from accidentally marrying an exiled alien prince named Varrin, and from almost getting her head blown off by a six-armed lizard man with anger management issues, seventeen-year-old Eris Miller is ready for a vacation. But Varrin is desperate to rescue his beloved spaceship, the Nonconformity, from the clutches of the galactic government, so her vacation will just have to wait.

While Eris and Varrin chase after the stolen ship, they’re unaware that trouble is brewing on the other side of the galaxy. The villainous Emperor of Rakor has assembled a task force, led by the commander of the deadly Skin Slicers, to hunt Varrin down.

  1. Can’t wait to hear more about your next book!

  2. I love reading your blog and watching your progression as a writer. You are good and enthusiastic, a good combination that will draw people to you. Good job!

  3. I recieved an e-mail notice from your LinkedIn account wanting to add me as a contact. Was that on purpose, and perhaps in some way related to my blog, or is sending such letters to random e-mail accounts a thing that LinkedIn occasionally does to try and get new people to join?

Whether it was on purpose or not, I’m glad the e-mail brought you to my attention, because your book sounds like something I would like to read. I will have to track down a copy.

    • Haha honestly I’m not sure how you ended up on my contact list. LinkedIn is a mystery wrapped in an enigma. But it seems to have worked out!!! Thanks for checking out my blog, and if you do read my book, let me know what you think:)

  4. YES! The new cover is bright and appealing yet mysterious.❤

  5. Gosh Michelle, “The Dusk Bugs” is so great it had my skin crawling!

    • Haha sorry. I hate hate hate bugs, so I tried to get that across in the writing. Apparently I at least partially succeeded😀 Thanks for letting me know what you thought!!!

  6. I love the cover so much better. :)

Saw a post on Imgur saying about the book being downloadable for free, so thought why not give it a go. WOW, I loved it. Couldn’t put it down. You are definitely an author I will look out for in future. I would love to hear about future escapades of these characters. Get writing!

    • I’m SO happy you enjoyed the book!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me know:) If I may be so bold, would you mind posting a brief review on Amazon? Self-published books live or die on their reviews, and … well … I’d rather my book lives, lol. You have a fabulous day, and I will go write:)

  8. I just finished your book and loved it. Keep me in mind if you would like more beta readers. I’d love to see what’s next.

    • I’m so glad you enjoyed it!!! Thanks for letting me know:) If you have a spare second, would you be able to post a quick review on Amazon? As for beta reading, I do have quite a few already, but if any spots open up I’ll let you know:)

I just finished Imminent Danger. OMG when is the next one coming out?! Can’t wait!

    • Kari

I saw your book on Imgur. Smart move! Rated it 5 stars on Amazon as soon as I finished it.

    • I’m so glad you enjoyed it! The sequel should be coming out this summer:) It’s called Chasing Nonconformity, and it picks up right where Imminent Danger leaves off.

If you have a minute, would you mind going to Amazon and leaving a review for Imminent Danger? I’d really appreciate it:)

I picked up Imminent Danger on the promotional weekend and I’m glad I did. It was a good read.

    • That’s fantastic! I’m so glad you enjoyed it:) And thanks for letting me know! What an excellent way to start the day.

If you have a few spare minutes, would you be able to pop over to Amazon and leave a short review?

  11. I do accept as true with all of the ideas you’ve offered for your post.
They are really convincing and can definitely work.

Still, the posts are very quick for newbies. May just you please lengthen them a little from next time?
    Thank you for the post.

  12. Jeff

Absolutely loved the book. Left a review on Amazon. I’m looking forward to the next one.

  13. I would like to thank you for the efforts you’ve put in writing this blog.
I am hoping to check out the same high-grade content by you later
on as well. In truth, your creative writing abilities has motivated me to get my
    own, personal site now😉

A friend gave me the link to the free download you ever so kindly provided for us (THANK YOU!) and I’m glad he did as I loved the first and the second one! I will be waiting patiently-ish for the third!

I was introduced to your books because of your post on Imgur where you were giving them away. This, in furn caused me to have to figure out how to download an old version ot the Kindle app for my ancient iPhone, which was not exactly simple for a luddite such as myself. But, I cannot deny that it was worth the struggle. Every page had me either laughing or on the edge of my seat. Often times, both simultaneously. I’m flat broke right now, but I assure you, I’ll be buying two copies of both books. One set for me and the other for the library where my mother works.

    • Thank you so much for contacting me! The entire reason I write books is to entertain others, and apparently I succeeded with you:) I’m so glad you enjoyed them! And well done on downloading the Kindle app — I still have trouble making the one I downloaded to my computer work (it refuses to open half the files I put in it). I can’t wait for the day when technology is intelligent and voice-activated, and all you have to do is say “Computer, do X” and it’ll figure out the rest. Some day!

I expect the third book to be out next year sometime — when it does comes out, shoot me a message (here, email, Imgur, whatever) and I’ll send you the ebook!

One more thing — if you have a spare moment, would you mind posting a short review on Amazon? Self-published books (i.e. books not backed by huge publishing houses) live and die on reviews, so every single review, even if it’s only a few words, is extremely important. Thanks!

  17. Can you tell us more about this? I’d care to find out some
    additional information.

  18. Michelle, I like the looks of this site. It was referred to me by a relative.

    • Thanks! Your sister-in-law (I believe that’s your relation?) is staying with us right now in Lunenburg, and she was telling me all about your books. My mother is particularly interested in the book about horses–we didn’t get the name of the book, only that it involves horses, lol. Which of your three books might that be?

What do you think?
