Just a reminder that the super exciting, knock your socks off, totally rad (do we still use that word?) FREE MAGNET GIVEAWAY!!! is ending tomorrow morning. So if you haven’t done it yet, hop over to this post and leave a comment about any old thing to be entered for a chance to win A MAGNET!!! I know it’s not the most exciting thing in the world, but work with me, people!
Here’s a comment prompt: You win a million dollars. What type of exotic animal do you acquire as a loveable household pet? I was originally going to say tiger, ala Jasmine and Rajah from Aladdin, but then I remembered that tigers eat people. So I’m back to the drawing board.
And now, as promised …
Unrelated cute animals of the day:

I would go for the tiger even if I had to risk the fact it may eat the kids, my son wants a polar bear which also carries the risk of someone been eaten and my other half wants to keep penguins in the bath, okay they wont eat you but every thing is going to smell fishy pretty quickly
Well, of the three, penguins are probably the safest. And you could always smell-proof the bathroom. That’s a thing, right? Smell-proofing?
Christina Hendricks.
I guess technically she’s an animal … not sure how she’d feel being called a “pet” though … 🙂
Yeah, well, I really shouldn’t post at 4 am–my filter doesn’t always boot up as fast as my snark. BTW I gave you a shout out in my latest blog. I’m in the middle of Imman Dang and really enjoying it.
I saw! I’m in the middle of reading your post, so I’ll leave a comment once I’m done. I’m so glad you like it!!! 🙂 And LOL at Immin Dang. That little illegibility issue is getting fixed, but I think the book will always live on in my heart by that title.
For some reason I am attracted to your magnet offer. I’ll trade you a magnet for two bookmarks and a couple postcards. And, if you wait until I clean out the hall closet this weekend, I may throw in something else. Whatever animal it is, it should be stuffed, soft and cuddly. These are much easier to take care of. They don’t poop on the rug and they don’t eat the couch. Have a decent day.
I’m not sure I need bookmarks or postcards, lol. A stuffed animal, however, would be glorious. Tell you what. I’ll stick your name in the hat and we’ll go from there. Sound good?
I MADE YOU A PRESENT. :)) Partly because I thought you might need a pick-me-up from all of the tedious problems associated with your book release, but mostly because I wanted to. ^^ Hope you like it!!

(And I hope you see what I did with the naming of it…)
OH MY GOD I LOVE IT!!!!!!! You don’t even understand!!! When I first started writing, I thought the coolest thing in the world would be if someone were to draw fan art for something I’d created. And now you have, and it’s beautiful, and I LOVE IT SOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!! You’re a fabulous artist! They look exactly as I’d imagined them!!!!!
I will now share this with everyone I know. It is also my desktop background, and will probably make its way onto my next mousepad. You automatically win a magnet, and I will have to find some other way to thank you. AHHH! I can’t get over how awesome you are!!!
I’m so glad you like it! x) I kept second-guessing things, because being the first person to draw characters is always kind of nerve-wracking… Especially when one of those characters is an alien!
Either way, I know what you mean. The idea that someone has taken time to create something based on what you’ve written is always just… nice. 🙂 Reaffirming. The bee’s knees. And because I know that feeling, I had hoped you would feel that way~
Oh wow, custom mousepad? Fancy! And if I’d thought about it I would have made it larger for desktop background, sorry. ^^; But YAY MAGNET! =D ❤ Yeah, this is the art-minor part of my identity, ha ha. Anywho, glad you enjoy~ ^o^
Can you declaw a lion? As a cat person I would have to have a lion as a pet. Can you imagine what people would think when they saw it?
You can probably declaw a lion, but I’m not sure it would be thrilled about the idea. Heavy tranquillizers would probably have to be involved … And if I saw a lion walking down the street, I’m 99% sure I would scream and run in the opposite direction.
Have you ever seen a Maine Coon cat? They are huge, but domesticated.
I have! They’re like mini tiger/cat things. They’re adorable, but I think I would be afraid that they would sneak into my room and kill me in my sleep.
I guess your fear is warranted. I meant to ask you. How did you get your book on so many different sites?
The only answer I can give you is “iUniverse”. Part of the publishing package is that they distribute the book to every online retailer known to man. I don’t know how they do it — I assume they have some sort of massive list and just send the book out to everyone.
I might look into iUniverse. It might be a good way to market myself. You can never have too many outlets.
True enough. I complain about iUniverse a lot, and they are expensive, but I can’t deny the quality of the book they’ve produced. And the distribution is excellent. If you do go with iUniverse, whatever you do, do NOT buy one of their editing packages. They are a total and complete waste of money.
My mother in law is my editor so no worries there. She’s free for now and well paid if I ever make it. Win win for both of us.
Ha, same with me and my mother. She keeps saying “hurry up and get rich so you can take me on a cruise”. I have a feeling it will be a while yet, lol.
Personally, I’ve always wanted a Komodo Dragon, but I hear they aren’t really terribly friendly/trustworthy. So I might settle for a monitor lizard.
That’s very true. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Can’t trust no one, ‘specially them damn komodos.”
A bumble. The toothless kind.
Savannah Cat.!!!! Look them up on youtube. I saw one and they are adorable
Oooh they’re like mini leopards!!!
I know. Just way cute and super friendly so they won’t eat you
