Happy Sunday, everyone! Whilst you’re lounging about in the glorious sunshine, entertain yourselves by viewing this latest and greatest Imminent Danger And How to Fly Straight into It, by the lovely and talented Celeste DeWolfe! Three cheers for Celeste DeWolfe! Hip hip hurray!
For those who haven’t read the book, what’s basically going on here is that Eris (girl in purple) and Miguri (white-haired little dude) are being held prisoner by the Ssrisk (big blue lizard guy). Varrin (acrobatic gentleman in black) has arrived to rescue them, and by using his genetically-enhanced awesomeness, manages to snatch them from the clutches of these villainous lizard-folk.

White-haired little dude. That description is almost as awesome as the picture.
Hahaha what, did the description not match the intensity of the picture? 😀
In a way it did. Great action! Scary lizard man! White-haired little dude! It fits.
Oh, I love that! The guy in black totally reminds me of Snake Eyes from G.I.Joe, which of course makes me want to read your story! Because bada$$ gymnastic ninja guys are always awesome. 🙂 And blue dino-lizard villains are awesome. Love it!
Hahaha see, I thought “Batman meets Spiderman with mesh” when I saw it … but bada$$ gymnastic ninja guy also works 😀
WOO. What an amazing piece of artwork this is, if I do say so myself! Oh ho ho, I tickle me. Anyway, glad you loved it! =D This was certainly the most involved picture I’ve done in awhile, but totally worth it–it came out awesome. (Probably a few perspective problems, but whatever, perspective is dumb. MY PERSPECTIVE.) I had to look at SO many reference pics (which, funny enough, included a lot of Spiderman!) to get Varrin’s pose right, but I LOVE his black bodyarmor. ❤ And dear God. I cheated a bit on Grashk's hands, but trying to get all 6 in there was… pretty hard. xD Still, it was nice to get back into these. ^^ I'll illustrated your whole book yet!! (and by the by, 'acrobatic gentleman in black' made me giggle.)
Hahaha yep, I can definitely see the Spiderman influences there 😀 I’m seriously loving Grashk, though — he just dominates the picture (must like a giant blue reptile probably would, lol). And Varrin’s black body armor is indeed awesome 😀 Question — around his manly region, is it just shadowed, or is he pulling a Superman and wearing his black underwear over his body armor? 😀 Hehehe …
He really does, but that could be because he is A. huge, B. a lizard-man, C. blue, and D. has way too many arms. Hence the natural eye-catcher. xD And no, you’re right. x) It’s not really underwear though, I just figure it’s like a protective cup. Gotta watch the important parts, amirite?
I must admit, you have me intrigued by the sound of this book. (>^-‘)>
Huzzah! Click the giant book cover in the right-hand column to learn more about it 😀
I love it!
Isn’t it fun??? I wish I could draw. Granted, my stick figures are a work of art, but beyond that … 😀
