Call for guest posts!

Happy Saturday, everyone! Ain’t the weekend grand?

All right, enough frivolity. Down to business. I’m insanely busy and I’m not posting as much as I want. This saddens me. Not to mention I think you guys are all fairly awesome. So this is a call for guest posts. You can write about literally anything you want that’s writing/publishing/reading related (okay, so not literally anything, but very close).

It will be a great opportunity for you to promote your own blog/book/self, not to mention I’ll have one less blog post to worry about. Then I can instead focus on more important things, like doing my laundry so I don’t have to go out dressed in a floral pink peasant shirt, grey sweat capris, stripy blue and black knee socks, and electric blue crocs. Mental image just scar you for life? Exactly.

Anyway, if doing a guest post sounds interesting, hit me up in the comments or via email ( I can post it whenever you want — like I have a blogging schedule! Ha! — so sky’s the limit, friends!

In other news, the IPPY Awards announce their winners on April 30th. Fingers crossed for an imminently dangerous victory!

  1. I would potentially be interested in this.

  2. I would definitely be interested! 🙂 Good luck on the Ippy’s!!

  3. Fancy something on editing or why I teach creative writing or why I think creative writing CAN be taught…..

  4. A grand opportunity! You’ll be hearing from me. (:

  5. Oh, the possibilities! 😀

  6. Count me in Michelle. FYI I think you would look awesome “dressed in a floral pink peasant shirt, grey sweat capris, stripy blue and black knee socks, and electric blue crocs”.

  7. This sounds amazing! I’d love to be involved, if there are any slots left. Good luck with the laundry. It does sound like a washday emergency… 🙂 Happy weekend!

  8. I’d be interested except I fear I have nothing to offer about writing or publishing to you or your fine readers that you/they wouldn’t already know. I’m also in a similar predicament where I have little time to blog let alone guest-blog. And I always have growing guilt for not writing as much as I would like.
Having said that I believe I hold the record for the longest comment on this post so far. Back to work…. 😉

    • Yep, you’re right Richard. I guess you should be congratulated.

    • Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat? That can’t be true! The part about you having nothing to offer, not the part about you having the longest comment — because that is definitely true, and A+ for effort 😀 Okay, well, if you do think of something you want to post about, email me ( and I’ll schedule you in 😀

      • Hmm. I’ll see if I can dredge up something original. I did a guest post for someone else about similes once but I’m not sure how valuable that was.
It was only the longest comment because I tend to ramble on a lot. Search for my post about verbosity where I describe in great detail my efforts to reduce it. Also note the tag line of my blog if and when you do read it. 😉
And if I do have an epiphany about writing advice, I’ll be sure to let you know.

  9. I don’t know if my content would be applicable but if you’d take a dream blog post I’d be more than happy to oblige 🙂

    • A “dream blog post” sounds very cool — and definitely something I’ve never had on here before! Yeah, that would work great 🙂 Email me ( and we’ll schedule you in.

  10. I know what you mean about laundry. I’d better do mine before I run out of “essentials.” About guest posts — I have one in draft about evil protagonists. Same topic as one of yours from a few months ago, but with my take on it. Let me know if you think it would be useful.

    • Oooooooooh evil protagonists. I will accept this guest post topic on the condition that you include at least one “Mwahaha” (or any variation of evil laughter) in the post 😀 Email me ( and I’ll pencil you in.

  11. What a great idea Michelle, my offering is already emailed to you for consideration 🙂

  14. I’d be happy to. Topics can be anything? Any preferences at all?

  15. Hi my friend! I want to say that this article is awesome, nice written and come with approximately all important infos.
I would like to peer more posts like this .

  16. I was recommended this web site by means of my cousin.
I am not positive whether or not this publish is written through him as no one else
understand such detailed approximately my problem.
    You’re wonderful! Thank you!
